📚 Math skills

Grade is set per kid in the profile. The chips show the skills that kid actually sees in Learn.

How the app works

🌱 Learn

The Learn tab is untimed Casual practice. Kids pick a skill, type or tap an answer. On a problem, the toolbar may show a Number board, Place, Hint, or Strategies chip — tap it for a visual or a teacher-style strategy. No pressure timer. Settings can keep counting dots on. The address bar updates, so a refresh or a shared link opens the same tab or skill.

🕹️ Arcade

Games that still teach. Correct plays count toward today’s Quest Chart star.

  • Recipe Rush — Chop, cook, serve two dishes: a same-device co-op kitchen for two kids on one phone. Each kid answers at their own grade; finishing a ticket before its timer runs out earns a bonus star (running late never costs a life).
  • Answer Slice — Slash or tap the fruit with the answer (two in one swipe is a combo). A wrong fruit stops the blade and costs a life; slice 3 of 5 waves to win.
  • Monster Truck — The banner asks a question (like 3 × 3); swipe left and right to smash the gate with the answer (Toy Track look). Already in the right lane counts, the next gates show their numbers early, and younger grades get more time per gate.
  • Number Muncher — Munch the numbers that match the rule across 5 worlds, from Sunny Garden to Star Station. Swipe to step, double-tap (or press Space) to munch, and dodge each world’s troggle. Clear a board to open the next; beat the 👑 crown board to open the next world.
  • Bond Split — SPLIT the train where the called part ends, then pick how many are in the other pile. Cube trains (up to 20 at Grade 1), ten-rods, and tens-and-ones trains. K–3; hides at G4+.
  • Plot Painter — Paint rectangles where length × width matters: match an area with any fitting sides, paint L × W and pick its area, or finish a rectangle from one given side. The board grows from 6×6 (G3) to 8×8 (G4–5) and 10×10 (G6+). Only a wrong area costs a life; gaps or stray squares just ask for a fix. Grade 3+, Hidden K–2 — same as Learn Area.
  • Quest Pinball — A full pinball table on a quest. Shoot the castle to pick a land (Number Forest, Times Temple or Shape Hills for K–2, Fraction Falls, Dragon's Den); each land's answer choices light on four shots, and five right answers clear it. A wrong shot only resets the combo and flashes the right arrow. The top lanes spell a sight word at the kid's reading level, and spelling it starts Word Bonus (three reading questions). Clear every land for Crown Quest. Five balls; K–2 never tilts. The start screen picks the table: Quest Castle, Zoo Escape (zoo lands, a hungry hippo at the top of a ramp up the middle, penguin bumpers in an icy pool, a bank of bananas and Stampede Multiball), Rocket Run (four planets, a launch pad at the top right reached by a long launch rail, a space loop around the planet bumpers, a left ramp that shoots the ball into orbit, asteroid targets and Meteor Shower multiball) or Ninja Dojo (a ramp up the middle to a pagoda with a gong door, two crossing bamboo bridges, taiko drum bumpers on the right, wooden boards to break, a secret scroll hole that tunnels the ball across the table and Shadow Multiball). Every table teaches the same math and has its own music, sounds and effects.

⭐ Quest Chart

A star for showing up. Hit today's goal and stamp the month. K–1: 8 · G2: 10 · G3: 12 · G4: 14 · G5: 15 · G6–8: 20. Wrong answers still teach; they just don't fill the star.

🏠 My World

On by default; can turn off in Settings. Avatar Studio dresses the hero. Hero House furnishes a room (store, arrange, lighting, nap, math streak board, pet).

📊 Progress

Mistake Rehab restacks missed problems until they're cleared — those count toward today's star. Parent Report is in Settings — parents enter the year they were born (18+).

📚 Read mode

A Math/Read toggle at the top of Learn switches to phonics and reading practice at its own Reading Level: letters, Sound Play (Rhyme Time, First Sounds, Clap the Beats, Blend the Sounds — picture games, no reading needed), sound-it-out (CVC words with read-the-word-tap-the-picture, blends/digraphs, magic-e/vowel teams, Bossy R & Vowel Pairs, Word Endings: -s, -ed and -ing, with the spelling rules at grade 2, Two Words Make One: compound words like sun + flower, Opposites: hot and cold, matched with picture cards, Word Parts: un-, re-, -ful and -less at grades 2–3), sight words, sentence reading, and “What Happened?” short-passage comprehension. The Parent Report says when every skill at the current Reading Level is at 90%+.

No accounts and no kid PII. Progress lives on the device (and on your family sync code if you turn that on). The Parent Report is an on-device summary.

🏆 Trophies

Badges unlock as kids practice. Locked trophies still show what to aim for.
